Everybody loves a good thriller movie and the topics of these are often to use secret socieities or clubs; well they exist outside of Hollywood just as much as on the big screen. They are from all walks of life, from the extremely rich and powerful to those who possess special skills to put to good use. The most dangerous secret societies are here for all to view, some of them are more awful than you thought.

The Hashshashin

The world knows of assassins, this is no secret, but when they were first formed nobody had a clue who was killing of high powered personnel in Europe. Their role was to silently infiltrate and remove targets. They date back to 1090 as a group and used to be called The Hashshashin.

The Bilderberg Group

Its not secret that money rules the world and the Bilderberg group is proof of it. It was established in 1954 and consists of the richest elite on the planet. They meet annually and require more than a large bank balance; it probably requires to be a heartless and greedy gremlin too. They are believed to control world markets down to the exact cents.

The Freemasons

Freemasons are not such a secret to most, having even been sent up by the Simpsons before now. They do a lot of charitable work but most believe them to be harbouring more dark secrets.

The G is supposedly a symbol for gnosis which means a link with satan

The Illuminati

Another famous society is, The Illuminati, prominent in all walks of life. They opposes the use of religion in society and other things like superstition. They are said to be to blame for huge global catastrophes and controlling other world events.

The Klu Klux Klan

Its probably a bit of a cheat to call the Klu Klux Klan a secret society, as they are now so prominent to us all, but it never used to be so blatant. They advocate extreme themes like white supremacy and are extremely against immigration. They fulfil acts of terrorism with little regard for anyone.

The Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is made up of Catholic men and their families and was founded in 1882. There are a huge 11,000 councils for the society and span all over the globe and they take a particular interest in the insurance markets of the world.

The Order of 8 Angels

The order of 8 angels is a real satanic cult who claims to be made up of the followers of Satan himself. They possess some gross neo-nazi views about race and humanity. They also believe in human sacrifice and claim to want to "remove common people".

The Priory of Sion

The Priory of Sion is a name that might sound familiar and its because its famously mentioned in Dan Browns religious thriller novels. It is a large society that consists of many smaller ones underneath its guidance. The club is supposedly originated from Mt Sion in 1099 and has some of the most horrific past histories involving human torture known from its smaller organisations. It was also said to have been headed, at some point, by Leonardo Di Vinci.

The Order of the Skull and Bones

The Order of the Skull and Bones was founded in 1832 by a group of Yale Students. They were to revolve around a hive of conspiracy theories, probably because some members were from the CIA.

It was famed for strange rituals, member initiations included lying in coffins completely naked and then tell their most closely kept secrets.

The Sons of Liberty

The Sons of Liberty was a group consisting of American patriots that originated in the pre-independence North American British colonies. The group was formed to protect the rights of the colonists and to take to the streets against the taxes by the British government.

They are best known for undertaking the Boston Tea Party in 1773, which led to the Intolerable Acts (an intense crackdown by the British government), and a counter-mobilization by the Patriots.

The German Thule Society

The German Thule Society is one you could be forgiven for thinking has similar look to the Nazi's of the same era, the group was actually formed in 1919 before Hitler became prominent.

Speaking of Hitler, he was classed as a member of the group. They believed in creating a new world order by murdering and keeping the population low. They would chant racist remarks and partake in black magic trying to summon demons.

The Nine Unknown Men

The Nine Unknown Men, India's only secret society, but known to some as the world's most powerful as they are only made up of 9 people. They've been around since 270 BC when King Ashoka formed them and each member controlled a different topic. Not much is known about them other than this.
